How We Research

Each article starts with live forecast inputs and targeted web research. Primary data sources and current travel references are gathered before drafting. Articles that fail source, structure, or word-count checks are revised before publication.

How AI Is Used

AI assists with topic analysis, web research, drafting and automated review. Articles are published under the Aurora Norway Editorial Team name, which identifies the publishing organization rather than a named human expert. Source and format checks do not guarantee factual accuracy or first-hand travel experience. Pages include references, publication dates and internal links so readers can check the basis for advice.

Corrections And Refreshes

Existing URLs are updated in place when a topic is refreshed so that authority accumulates on canonical pages instead of being split across duplicate URLs. Material errors should be corrected in the next publishing cycle.

Paid Partner Placements

Some local operators pay for a placement on this site for a season. Where they appear, the slot carries a visible Paid partner label and the link carries rel="sponsored". If a placement is not labelled, it is not paid for.

What a partner buys: a defined block — a card, a short description and direct links to their own site and booking page — in a named location, for a fixed period. We sell at most one operator per category per destination, so a partner is never placed beside a direct competitor in the same slot.

What a partner does not buy: anything in the forecast. Paid placements do not affect city rankings, probability figures, which destinations we cover, or what our guides say. No partner reviews an article before publication, and no partner can have a competitor removed from a guide. Editorial mentions of operators are not for sale and are not placements.

We take no commission on bookings. Outbound partner links are tagged so both sides can see how many clicks a placement sent. We count those clicks first-party and without cookies, and what we report to a partner is aggregate counts only — never anything that identifies a visitor.

If a paid placement ever conflicts with what our data shows, the data wins and the placement goes. Our ranking pages are worth more than any single season's placement fee.
